2012 Live AIDS: Before and Laughter

By haczardous On March 11, 2012 · 3 Comments

Live AIDS na.

No, I’m not talking about the STD. Although I heard somewhere that this production was initially intended to generate awareness about AIDS in the 80s–correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m not talking about the 7″ single by The Rebel either. Weh.

I’m talking about the awesomest musical comedy variety show in [...]

5th International Silent Film Fest at Shangri-la Plaza

By haczardous On July 31, 2011 · 4 Comments

If there’s one Shang film fest I would not miss, it would be this.

The first Silent Film Fest I watched was in 2009, Fantomas: in the shadow of the guillotine (1913). Prior to watching, I thought all along that the music was recorded. I did not expect a LIVE BAND playing vis-a-vis the colossal [...]

Who views your Facebook profile?

By haczardous On June 20, 2011 · 2 Comments

Fact: humanity is narcissistic by nature. Somehow conceit/self-obsession must be part of our primitive survival mechanism. We are consumed with thoughts about who are interested in us. Thus the burning question translated in social media — who views my Facebook profile? Does my boss view my profile? What about my crush? Or my ex-boyfriend?? The [...]

By haczardous On June 16, 2011 · 1 Comment

With Gmail, you can enjoy the weather online or offline…

It’s raining in my screen!
(And while it’s not yet raining outside, maybe it will, in a few…)

One of the awesome themes of Gmail is “Tree”, where a tree sits at the bottom of your screen, and is [...]

Twitter finally acknowledges the existence of Philippines, and includes it in the trend locations. Actually the news is already two months old, but I noticed it just now ha ha ha

Also did a little research on how Twitter selects the trend locations…

If you don’t see your country [...]

Van Gogh is Bipolar, at Maginhawa Street

By haczardous On June 8, 2011 · Leave a Comment

Tucked in one of the many holes-in-the-wall in Maginhawa Street Quezon City lies Van Gogh is Bipolar, a small quaint restaurant owned by travel-photographer Jetro.

The house is a feast for the senses. In every corner there is something to discover.

Teacups and clocks was an underlying theme from the potpourri [...]

Facebook, the default online social ID

By haczardous On June 5, 2011 · 4 Comments

A thought starter: Do you know of a millenial who doesn’t have a Facebook account?

It is strange not to have one, no? We’re tacitly expected to have an online social ID, just like an email or like a cellphone number. And those who are still living Facebook-less lives must have a good reason [...]

Today I clicked on a Youtube spam message

By haczardous On June 2, 2011 · Leave a Comment

Look at how deceiving / realistically-YouTube it looks:

Eto pa, meron siyang “report spam” link located at the upper right. Winner!

Hindi ko alam kung maiinis ako dahil nabiktima ako ng spam, o matutuwa dahil isa siyang effective spam (kung ang objective ay high click through rate).

xkcd X Wikipedia

By haczardous On June 1, 2011 · 2 Comments

Here’s one of the veryfew xkcds I can relate to: (via xkcd)

Story of my (digital) life.

I’ve grown all too: Dependent on the web. The WWW has become an extension of my brain. I need nothing memorized because I can Google/Wikipedia it anyway. But ain’t it more efficient that way? Independent [...]

By haczardous On May 31, 2011 · 2 Comments

Have you noticed that since the implementation of the automated Google search, clicking on the I’m Feeling Lucky button has become impossible once you type something in?

Give it a try. Experience the elusiveness foh yohself…

For the youngsters, A little history lesson:
Not so long ago, the I’m Feeling Lucky [...]

LiveJournal and the value of a social network

By haczardous On May 30, 2011 · 5 Comments

One of my long-time LJ friends has migrated to WordPress: One less LJ friend, one less reason to log back in.

I am saddened by the gradual death of LiveJournal (soon to be DeadJournal?) as I think it is one of the pioneers of the Social Web. It was one of the sites [...]

  • Greetings Fellow Yuppie!

This is a blog about three young professionals having an adventure in an awesome multi-national digital advertising agency in Manila.

One is a 27 year old guy, named Jots, who is into web design, imagining things, and poetry. He's a hopeless romantic and is mustering up the courage and confidence to fight for his one true love.

The other is Czar, a 23 year old artist who is into many mundane things. Like the google reader, Opera (browser), poetry and geeking out. She also wears flats most of the time as not to tower over her male colleagues.

Last but definitely not the least, is Domeng, a 27 year old sneaker head, web programmer, and a true gaming geek. He will blow you away with his awesome web development skills as well as his ability to play the drums in Rockband.

This blog also concerns many things about their work, or as much as their NDA allows them to disclose.

Morever this blog is an attempt to make extra cash to fund these young professionals' thirst for the extra-ordinary.
